British Values debate

Year 5 took part in a debate on one of our British Values topics today.  They looked at fairness and equality, and Mr Bullen gave them a scenario and they debated from both sides.  After this, the children linked it to current news stories such as the building of a wall between Mexico and America.

Slam Poetry

Wow!!  What a super afternoon in Year 5.  All the children took part in a class poetry slam, and all read with super style and excellent content.  Well done to Fern, our slam overall winner!






Team Littlefoot join us for some team building activites

Year 5 were fortunate enough to take part in some super team building activities with Team Littlefoot, a local company.  The children developed their listening, team work and participation skills throughout the morning.  Well done Year 5!

Cheshire Phoenix Keeping healthy workshop

We had a great afternoon today working with the team from Cheshire Phoenix! We took part in 3 workshops about the dangers of smoking, the importance of a healthy diet and of course some basketball skills!

Excellent English work...

Earlier in the week, Year 5 completed some super English work linked to our book The Water Tower. The children worked in small teams to use a combination of common and abstract nouns to create some wonderful sentences. Well done year 5!!
